Well Bred
THE PARTY Quint Contemporary Art kicked off its newest exhibit, Fresh Bred, with a festive party to coincide with the town’s arty First Friday. THE PLAYERS Art world royalty Robert Irwin graced the scene, donning his signature baseball cap. THE SCENE The exhibit focused on six next-gen artists whose work references art history yet looks toward the future. Take, for example, the S.D. artist Timothy Earl Neil, whose work questions utopian suburbia. His 15-foot fallen fiberglass column, covered in salt, acted as a catalyst for both preservation and entombment. Photography by Tim Hardy
