As you watch and rewatch footage of this season’s step-and-repeats, chances are astonishingly high that you’ll be staring at a pair of Jimmy Choos performing the established choreography of red carpet posing. And it’s all because founder and former Creative Director Tamara Mellon, OBE, turned a tiny business in Hackney into “possibly the world player in high-octane glamour shoe design,” according to fashion journalist Colin McDowell in the foreword he’s written for her new book, Jimmy Choo: XV ($75, Rizzoli).
