THE PARTY A swank book-signing party for photographer Oberto Gili’s latest, Home Sweet Home: Sumptuous and Bohemian Interiors, held at interior designer Nathan Turner’s Melrose Avenue showroom THE PLAYERS Decorators Martyn Lawrence-Bullard, Paul Fortune, Suzanne Rheinstein, Schuyler Samperton, Joe Lucas; editors Hamish Bowles and Wendy Stark THE SCENE Gili’s latest work—a collection of striking floral close-ups—was stashed throughout the store, and the space itself was jam-packed with his biggest fans, including fashion designer (and the party’s co-host) Minnie Mortimer, who gushed about the world travels she took with the expert lensman when learning the trade as his assistant. BEST IN SHOW Dutch Touch Art Company owner Shawn Silver’s dog, Bianca, not only attended Turner’s shindig—the designer’s first event since leaving his Almont Yard location—but also managed to steal the show as the most fawned-over guest in the shop.
