The Party A cookout at the third annual L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade event was held at The Culver Studios mansion to raise funds for research on childhood cancer.The Players Jimmy Kimmel, Suzanne Goin, David Burtka, Giada De Laurentiis, Joe MantegnaThe Highlights De Laurentiis and Goin were among the bevy of famed local chefs serving up delectable dishes to 1,200 hungry attendees. The event raised more than $500,000 for the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, named after Alexandra “Alex” Scott, who died of cancer at age 8, in 2004. In an emotional speech, father Jay Scott remarked on his late daughter’s legacy: “We thought the lemonade stand would go away without her, but it’s flourished… It’s grown from one lemonade stand in our yard to events like this all over the country.” Photography by Alex J.
