The New Sneaky’s Tavern in Snowmass
by Linda Hayes | Aspen magazine | September 26, 2012This pan-seared scallops with mushroom risotto dish is just one of the high-quality and hearty meals that will be available from Sneaky’s Tavern.
The SkiCo-owned pub—name after Jim “Sneaky” Snobble, the first manager of Snowmass Mountain—is scheduled to open Thanksgiving Day in the new Snowmass Base Village, just next to the Treehouse. The skilled hands of Executive Chef Robert “Tico” Starr—an Aspen native who has previously worked at Jimmy’s, Sage and the Sundeck—will be turning out traditional tavern fare with a luxury twist, including his specialty red wine braised lamb shank with root vegetables and rustique bread, boneless buffalo chicken wings, prime rib au jus, and flatbread pizzas. www.sneakystavern.com, 970-923-8787
