Get your run on—and take in the amazing scenery of the Elk Mountains and the city of Aspen—during the Aspen Backcountry Marathon on June 29. The race starts at Koch Park and winds its way along high country dirt trails, boasting a wide diversity of terrain, all the way to Buttermilk. Note to athletes: As a limited-support race, there will be food and water stations, along with volunteer medical personnel along the route, but there is no guarantee of rescue or medical attention. So, be prepared for this challenging course. 6AM start. Tickets $90.
