Amy Leiman & Shaun Pejic

December 17, 2011 | A New Leaf

Shaun and Amy posed for photos in A New Leaf’s flower boutique. The bride looked chic in a Matthew Christopher dress from Wolsfelt’s Bridal in Aurora and a marabou cape from morobridal.com.

Silver Champagne buckets replaced traditional centerpieces and white paper lanterns lit up the night.

Myrtle, a traditional flower in English and Welsh bouquets that symbolizes love and marriage, was included in every arrangement.

The Couple
Chicago native Amy and her British beau, Shaun, met and fell in love in Vancouver, Canada. Before marrying, the couple spent most of their courtship separated by the Atlantic Ocean.

The Details
Big City Bride drew from the groom’s English roots and a vintage Chicago vibe for the décor. Cello and guitar duo Paul and Kerena Moeller played Welsh and Irish music. Amy wore a sixpence in her shoe, courtesy of her mum-in-law.

The Party
Guests indulged in fusion fare by Berghoff Catering and cocktails inspired by old Fred Astaire movies.
