October 15, 2011 | First Presbyterian Church of Dallas The Belo Mansion & Pavilion

Catherine and Paul share a tender moment during the festivities.

GOWN ENVY The Jim Hjelm gown from StarDust Celebrations was later accented with a crimson sash.

Darrell Ward Designs matched floral to the wedding’s autumnal color scheme.

Frosted Art Bakery & Studio’s elegant creation had alternating layers of hummingbird and carrot cakes.

The happy couple made their getaway in a bicycle taxi before jetting off to a honeymoon in Curaçao.

The Couple
This music-loving couple had coincidentally attended many of the same concerts since ’87, when they both were at Texas Stadium for the Calling All Nations show with Guns N’ Roses, Iggy Pop and more. However, they didn’t meet until 2010 at The Kessler Theater, where Paul, a music producer and recording engineer, was performing.

The Details
The bride’s heirloom diamond ring was previously worn by three generations on her mother’s side.

The Party
The couple kicked off their wedding weekend, selected to coincide with the State Fair of Texas, at the historic 100-year-old Sons of Hermann Hall in Deep Ellum with a lively open house, featuring Shoot Low Sheriff and Club Wood with Johnny Tone. The Belo reception brought in Mariachi Quetzal and Mark “DJ Mr. Rid” Ridlen.
