Bridal Sign Up

Leeanne Harshman & Erik Olson

February 11, 2012 | Perkins Chapel, The Belo Mansion & Pavilion

DANCE TRANCE Leeanne and Erik take their first spin on the dance floor as a married couple.

Favors included a taste of Paris—the couple’s honeymoon destination—via French mini-pastries from Tart Bakery.

Frosted Art Bakery & Studio designed a multitier pound cake for the bride, shown here, and a chocolate Kahlua confection for the groom.

The Couple
Some shrewd moves on the part of both the groom’s mother and a friend of the bride’s mother brought Leeanne and Erik together. The moms hatched the scheme while playing bridge together in Houston!

The Details
The bride glowed in a lacy Alfred Angelo gown amid her bridesmaids in seafoam green. Adorable flower girls included the twin 3-year-old granddaughters of the bride’s mom’s friend (aka the matchmaker!), as well as the cousin of the bride.

The Party
Grand piano melodies circulated throughout cocktail hour, where guests wrote messages to the couple on a “wishing tree.” The soft pink and dusty shale blue-hued reception was beautifully lit by Beyond.
