Bridal Sign Up

Sarah Castro & Derek Frye

April 20, 2013 | Augusta Pines Golf Club

It took three years and a chance meeting to bring Sarah, social media director for Armando Montelongo Companies, and Derek, director of sales for BusinessTechPros, to the altar.

Julie’s Cakes designed the four-tier cake.

The wedding coordinator at Augusta Pines helped plan the day.

Chelsea Mullins, San Antonio florist and Sarah’s friend, did the flowers.

My Big Day Designs did the invitations.

Allison wore an Alfred Angelo gown.

The couple
Sarah and Derek met on a fun night out with friends, but both swore it wasn’t for the first time. In conversation that night they discovered she worked at his favorite sub shop in San Antonio two years prior and had waited on him several times per week. She even knew his order by heart.

The Details
Many of the people that were out the night they “met” were in the wedding party. “We are proof that if it is meant to be, it will be!” says Sarah.

The Party
The ceremony was held outside by the 18th hole at Augusta Pines. The reception was inside the main ballroom. Sarah says they picked this venue for the gorgeous grounds and liked the idea of an outside ceremony with inside dinner and dancing. “I also fell in love with the chandeliers,” she says.
