Silver Lining
THE PARTY Enthusiasts of brilliant design and all things exceptional visited Hermès on Oak Street to celebrate the work of renowned French silversmiths Puiforcat. The intimate event paid tribute to Jean E. Puiforcat, great-grandson of the founder of the house, which was created in 1820. A sculptor and designer, Jean E. Puiforcat’s Art Deco work in the ’20s and ’30s continues to influence the house today in its use of balance and pure lines. THE SCENE Guests enjoyed live jazz while taking in several of Puiforcat’s most notable pieces, including a stunning silver chess set, a tea and coffee set, and the Visionary Lamp, while sipping Champagne from sterling beakers.
