All About The Benjamins
The Party The Benjamin Marshall Society’s Centennial Celebration honored the acclaimed architect’s work at 1200 N. Lake Shore Drive and 1550 N. State Parkway. The Scene Festive partygoers enjoyed a selection of New Zealand and California wines handpicked by honorary chairman Richard Driehaus. A live auction by Steven Zick of Christie’s featured custom-designed Benjamin Marshall medallions and numerous lifestyle items, and sculpted bronze plaques by Omri Amray were awarded to the Centennial buildings to identify them as landmarks. The Bottom Line The event raised $50,000 for the Society’s efforts to write and publish a book on Marshall. Photography by Jennifer Girard
