THE SCENE The Palmer House Hilton welcomed 700 guests for Chicago House’s third annual Speaker Series Luncheon. THE HIGHLIGHTS Award-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg was selected as this year’s keynote speaker and delighted the audience with her witty words of inspiration. Attendees walked away with treats from Sweet Miss Giving’s Bakery, Chicago House’s transitional job program and venture capital project. THE BOTTOM LINE More than $340,000 was raised to further Chicago House’s endeavors to provide housing and supportive services to families and individuals dealing with HIV and AIDS.
