Dozens of society doyennes decked out in diamonds hit the Houston Museum of Natural Science for a gala marking the opening of its newest exhibit, Bulgari: 130 Years of Masterpieces. The evening began with cocktails in the exhibition space, where guests ogled some 150 archival Bulgari baubles on display, including pieces from the Elizabeth Taylor Heritage Collection, as well as those belonging to Houston’s Lynn Wyatt and Joanne King Herring, both of whom attended the ball in all their glittery glory.
After salivating over the sparklers and loosening up at the chic lounge space created adjacent to the exhibit, gala-goers made their way to Herzstein Hall, which was transformed into an Mediterranean garden for a romantic candlelit dinner. Famous pianist Elizaveta serenaded the crowd from the center of the room.
Superstar actress Naomi Watts, Texans gridiron great J.J. Watt, museum president Joel Bartsch and gala chairs David and Windi Grimes mingled with glamorous guests like Martha Turner, Diane Lokey Farb, Valerie Sarofim and Christina Girard. -Photos by Michelle Watson
