After a yearlong renovation and expansion, the Blaffer Art Museum at UH celebrated its grand reopening with an equally grand gala! Art enthusiasts gathered for cocktails amid the galleries, enjoyed music by A Fistful of Soul, and commemorated the night with snapshots in the Glasstire photo booth. The 14,000-square-foot contemporary glass-and-steel building touts a new staircase, lounge and a second-level exhibition space, which includes an artist studio for the museum’s educational initiatives.Photography by Anthony A.
