The Museum of Printing History’s annual gala attracted more than 200 patrons to the Houston Country Club for a seated dinner and silent auction. This year’s affair honored O.H. “Bud” Frazier—he invented the artificial heart valve, and also has an impressive collection of rare books—with the Gutenberg Award, presented by MPH Chairman of the Board A. John Harper III. Keynote speaker Douglas Brinkley, a Rice professor and the best-selling author of the recently published book Cronkite, entertained with stories about Houston-born journalist Walter Cronkite.Photography by Mark Nathan
