Hundreds turned out for a luncheon held on the stage of Jones Hall in support of Houston’s Society for Performing Arts. Keynote speaker Kathryn Stockett talked about the success of her best-selling novel The Help while guests noshed on a Southern meal of fried chicken at tables decorated by Lucinda Loya. ... Meanwhile, Sofia Adrogue and Rabbi Scott were recognized as community and business leaders at the National Council of Jewish Women’s “Women of Influence” lunch at the Julia Ideson Library Downtown.
