Carolyn Farb, dressed in a gorgeous raspberry-hued sari, welcomed a few hundred of her closest friends to her River Oaks manse for an Indian-themed birthday bash.
Guests sipped cocktails and perused Farb’s impressive international art collection—which includes pieces by Henri Rousseau and Joseph Cornell alongside work by local artists such as Joseph Havel—densely displayed throughout her home. Dinner, dished out by Kiran Verma herself of Highland Village’s Kiran’s, was enjoyed poolside, under an extravagant tent awash in shades of magenta.
Members of the Houston-based Gypsy Dance Theater entertained with Indian bamboo flutes and a lively choreographed dance. And partygoers admired themed decor like the Durga Maa statue, which represents strength, power, protection and morality. –Photography by Slyworks Photography
