A misty morning fog rolls through the streets of Downtown Houston, enveloping some of the city’s tallest and most architectural buildings. A cold front swept through, with highs in the 40s, lows below freezing and cold rainfall drizzling round the clock, resulting in gray mornings like this. Photographer Darryl Harris, who works as a full-time accountant for a local engineering firm, set up his camera on the corner of Louisiana and McKinney early in the morning as the weather began taking over the city blocks. “Buildings in Downtown Houston are quite tall, and I was amazed on how far the fog came down over them that morning,” says Harris.
