Blondes vs. Brunettes
The inaugural year of Blondes vs. Brunettes has arrived to Atlanta, benefitting the Alzheimer's Association Georgia Chapter. Young professional women in the Atlanta community competed in a powderpuff flag football game to help end Alzheimer's.
Fans came to Grady Stadium on Saturday, June 7 to cheer on the ladies of Team Blonde and Team Brunette. They enjoyed pre-game festivities including: Ultimate Tailgate with grilled hotdogs and burgers, a silent auction and Onli sparkling flavored water. Throughout the game, fans were also treated to T-shirt giveaways by Ping the Penguin with Icebox, live music by DJ Chris Rimby and complimentary iced coffees by Keurig to keep them hydrated!
With the help of Atlanta community partners and individual fundraising between the 40 ladies, $36,000 was raised for Alzheimer's Association Georgia Chapter in only 3 months. Team Blonde took home the trophy as the winner of the game. Park Tavern was the host venue for the victory party celebration.
Members of the Executive Committee included: Chairman, Josie Taylor; Vice Chairman, Sara Arnold and Heather Froy; Player Relations Chairman, Alissa Schor, Stacy Mattoon and Anna Montague; Sponsorship Chairman, Natalie Hymel and Charles Mann; Public Relations Chairman, Claire Barnes and Meredith Griffanti and Special Event Chairman, Kristen Bartlett and Melissa Lawrence
