Throwback Threads

Previously loved, secondhand—whatever you call it, shopping for vintage clothes is a great way to add unique and interesting pieces to your wardrobe without breaking the bank. Lucky for us, ATL has plenty of spots to find treasures from decades past. Below, we round up a few of our faves.

Duds from decades past at Clothing Warehouse

1. The Clothing Warehouse
With the coveted title of “Best Vintage Clothing” in JEZ’s Best of Atlanta issue, this outfit and accessories emporium in Little Five Points and Midtown doesn’t disappoint. 420 Moreland Ave., 404.524.5070, theclothingwarehouse.com

2. Labels Resale
Channel Rachel Zoe while perusing “maje” vintage designer wares in Buckhead and Vinings, from Prada shoes to Chanel jackets (you read that right)—they trade as well as buy. 3202 Paces Ferry Place, 404.841.8444, labelsresaleboutique.com

3. Vintage Weirdo
This Virginia-Highland shop specializes in authentic and rare vintage, mostly from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s, with periodic fashion shows and featured vendors to boot. 644 N. Highland Ave. Room #124, 404.874.5756 ext. 124

4. Ambrose Vintage
Opened just last year, this cutesy spot in Little Five Points is chockfull of frocks, T-shirts, bathing suits and more from decades past (lookout for the shop kitties meandering around as well). 1160 Euclid Ave., 404.275.7920, facebook.com/ambrosevintage

5. Highland Row Antiques
Though they stock an impressive collection of vintage furniture, vinyl, jewelry and more, the racks of clothes and rows of perfectly worn-in boots and heels at this Va-Hi goldmine are definitely worth a second look. 628 N. Highland Ave., 404.815.8830, highlandrowantiques.com
