Starting Feb. 23, the Armory honors Philip Glass and his 75th birthday with the Tune-In Music Festival, featuring five concerts and other performances. The four-day event will include an original score composed by Grammy-winning jazz guitarist Bill Frisell, as well as appearances by Glass and singer-poet Patti Smith. The celebration will also feature Glass’ groundbreaking work Music in Twelve Parts and a reading of Kaddish. The poem, written by longtime Glass friend Allen Ginsberg, will be narrated aloud and accompanied by an eight-piece ensemble. Feb. 23-26. Tickets $15–$50.
