While the season begins on Jan. 17 with an impressive, all Balanchine program, the real highlight of the six-week winter run is the NYCB's first-ever, all Christopher Wheeldon lineup that starts Jan. 28. The British-born choreographer and former NYCB soloist returns with a world premiere, as well as the NYCB's debut of DGV: Danse A Grande Vitesse, which he created for Britain's Royal Ballet in 2006, and Polyphonia, which he developed for NYCB in 2001.
