Midtown Manhattan was all a flutter last night with the official Grand Opening Party for NYY Steak at 7 W 51st Street. This new flagship steakhouse, a collaboration between Yankee Global Enterprises and Hard Rock International is a 16,000 square foot, three floor marvel, featuring dry aged USDA prime beef from their in-house butcher shop. Cold weather had no bearing on this night as Yankees stars both past and present graced the "blue carpet" outside before heading indoors to the jam packed party in this three-story restaurant. Among those in attendance were current first baseman Mark Teixeira, former center fielder Bernie Williams (who delighted the crowd with a performance with his All Star Band), David Cone, Dwight Gooden, Roy White and Mickey Rivers.
