The new digs at Philips Arena boast new flooring, cabinets, appliances and more.

The Suite Life

As the days become warmer, the lure of a day at the ballpark becomes increasingly appealing. And if you’re looking for the most luxe way to experience the crack of Jason Heyward’s bat launching a misplaced fastball into the right field seats, luxury stadium suites may be your answer.

Like Philips Arena and the Georgia Dome, Turner Field offers fans and businesses a unique opportunity to experience games from plush, private rooms, and the buzz at Atlanta’s ballpark this season is all about the new themed suites. These titivated spreads were created in the offseason when the Atlanta Braves decided to combine four existing right field suites that spent much of last season collecting cobwebs into two larger units to accommodate twice the number of guests.

The sports bar-themed suite is decorated in Braves
memorabilia and sits near the popular Bobby Cox suite.
Indulge in some competition of your own on the foosball
table by challenging friends at video games while keeping
an eye on the collection of high-def screens gracing the
walls. This unit is priced from $3,600 to $4,800 per
game and is appropriate for a casual office get-together
or lively bash with friends.

Add some excitement to a formal staff meeting by
hosting it at a game—the neighboring business suite is
equipped with an overhead projector, whiteboard and
conference table made up of four-top tables. The price of
this corporate-minded unit is $4,500 to $6,000 per game.
Watching our national pastime play out live isn’t
the only draw to Turner Field’s suites. After getting early
access to the games, you can feast on a wide variety of
cuisine, including everything from hickory-smoked ribs
to Cajun-fried creole turkey or sushi. After your meal,
kick back with your favorite microbrew, import or Napa
Valley wine. Want more? Bottle service is also an option.

After schmoozing over cocktails and some good
eats, venture over to the reserved outdoor balcony seating
to enjoy the game with a bird’s-eye view of the largest
non-octagonal JumboTron in the world and one of the
most impressive stadiums in Major League Baseball.
For those with a smaller group, a good alternative
to a private suite is the air-conditioned Delta 755
Club. It offers a decent food and drink menu with a
comparable view from outdoor tables situated at the
opposite left field foul pole.

After undergoing a top-to-bottom renovation, the
suites at Philips Arena may be the most lavish sports
digs available in Atlanta. These swanky units feature
new flooring, cabinets, stainless steel appliances and
three flat-screen TVs, plus several perks.

The Full Season Suite, named after your period
of ownership, goes for $160,000 for the year, but
unlike the other venues in town, this price includes
access to all events, including every Atlanta Hawks
and Atlanta Thrashers game, a variety of concerts,
and any other booking that comes along. This
amenity is the biggest advantage to purchasing at
Philips over the other sports venues in Atlanta.
The Spirit Group also offers a half-season package
for $85,000 or a quarter of the season for $45,000.
These deals include a portion of the Hawks and
Thrashers matchups, as well as the other scheduled
concerts and events during your ownership time.

Atlanta Falcons tickets have been a hot commodity
in the ATL since quarterback Matt Ryan and head coach
Mike Smith joined the team a few seasons ago, and the
suites are no exception. Starting at $77,800 per year,
your group is guaranteed a primo seat for all 10 Falcons
home games, but it stops there. Any Falcons playoff
games, SEC games and other events come at a price,
although suite owners do get top priority to purchase.

These luxe suites have 16 to 32 seats and come with
another perk for avid football fans: Flat-screen TVs in
the suites broadcast NFL Sunday Ticket throughout
your stay, giving guests full access to every NFL game.
Avid sports fans who prefer the creature comforts
of home to sticky armrests and beer lines will want to
consider an investment in one of these swanky spreads.
