Choosing to Participate, a powerful multimedia exhibition exploring the impact of bigotry and injustice, was the focus of a private celebration presented by educational nonprofit Facing History and Ourselves. Two hundred guests attended the event in the Winter Garden of the Harold Washington Library, including Mayor Rahm Emanuel and his wife Amy Rule, emcee and ABC7 news anchor Cheryl Burton and Facing History co-founders Margot Stern Strom and Judy Wise.
