This season’s NWS Gala kicks off the Academy Awards™ weekend with a spectacular black tie celebration inspired by one of Hollywood’s most legendary provocateurs – Alfred Hitchcock. The 2012 New World Symphony Gala: An Evening of Suspense - Music and Scenes from the Films of Alfred Hitchcock takes place Friday, February 24 at the New World Center.

 

The event includes welcome cocktails, a full symphony concert, a lavish sit-down dinner and “Big Band Swing” – a roaring dance party in the style of a 1940s jazz club, complete with an 18-piece Big Band.

A limited number of tickets and tables for the full evening are available. The special offer is $150 tickets to “Big Band Swing." Feel like a movie star – put on your finest attire and arrive on the Blue Carpet at 10 pm then enter the New World Center, transported back in time to a 1940’s jazz club, complete with a full, 18-piece Big Band performing the swinging tunes ranging from 1930’s classics to the great hits immortalized by the likes of Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin.
