Four Crazy Nights
THE PARTIES Never one to do things halfway, Lords South Beach owner Brian Gorman held not one but four of Basel week’s most irreverent and anti-right wing soirées. Among those: the SHHH bash on Tuesday night to kick off the week and the Josh Woods-hosted all-nighter toward the end of the fair’s run. THE PLAYERS Pretty and witty and gay—and gay-friendly. Among those frolicking away were Erin Newberg, rapper Cazwell, Marco Ovando, Amber De Vos, Timo Weiland, Leandro Justen and more. Fabulous, darling, faaab-buuuu-looouusss! THE SCENE Can you say uninhibited? While Tuesday’s crowd was rather subdued by Lords standards (perhaps in an effort to conserve energy for the long nights ahead), by Thursday night, the rambunctious vibe of the evening was apparent. Of course, a concert by Scissor Sisters did nothing to calm guests down. Photography by Patrick McMullan
