THE OCCASION Once again, Miami art lovers turned out en masse to Locust Projects’ Smash and Grab, a yearly fundraiser at which more than 120 artworks by local and national artists are raffled off to collectors of all levels. THE GUESTS Locust Projects Executive Director Chana Budgazad Sheldon welcomed collectors such as Dennis Scholl, Dan and Kathryn Mikesell and Donnamarie Baptiste, artists Leyden Rodriguez-Casanova and Frances Trombly, and many others. THE SCENE Anticipation was in the air as guests waited for their ticket numbers to be called so they could snatch their desired artworks. Cupcakes and cocktails kept buyers nourished and in good spirits. Tunes by DJ Hottpants provided the soundtrack. Photography by World Red Eye
