It was a debut for the books! Miami has seen extravagant boutique soirees before (Louis Vuitton and Hermès come to mind), but the opening of Italian accessories brand V°73 in the Design District was one of the chicest retail affairs of 2013.
Owner Elisabetta Armellin invited some 300 people (nearest and dearest and not) to the party and showed off her spectacular Antonio Gatti-designed space. Among those perusing the goods on display and chatting up the hostess were Kim Bacardi, Criselda Breene, Natasha Sen and Irene Korge, as well as a slew of Armellin’s family members and friends who flew in from Venice for the occasion.
After checking out the boutique, guests were further delighted when they encountered an Italian garden inspired by Venice’s Palazzo Ducale that was recreated (per Armellin’s instructions) in the outdoor area behind the store. Back inside, most guests couldn’t get enough of V°73’s limited-edition collection created through an exclusive partnership with the Uffizi Gallery in Florence and featuring prints by Leonardo da Vinci. After the shenanigans at the shop, the party continued at Cipriani with a dinner hosted by Armellin and her husband, Stefano Greco. –Photography by Brett Hufziger/BHUF.com
