THE OCCASION Producer and songwriter Rico Love is not known for doing things low-key and the party for his 30th at the SLS hotel in the midst of Basel was no exception. We’re talking celebrities, cocktails and plenty of camera flashes. THE GUESTS Diddy was but one of many A-listers at the celebration. Giving Love some love on his big day were Kelly Rowland, Janice Combs, Fat Joe and the ubiquitous Pharrell Williams. THE SCOOP After a welcome reception of Grey Goose Cherry Noir cocktails, guests moved poolside for a fashion show by Roberto Cavalli and Saks Fifth Avenue featuring the brand’s spring/summer 2013 collection designed by Eva Cavalli. After the show, a select group of guests made their way to Katsuya for the private dinner portion of the evening. Rick Delacroix of Hublot made a birthday gift speech to Rico, and presented him with a limited edition Hublot Miami watch, named the “Hublot 305,” of which only 10 were made. Rico took the watch from its box and wrapped it around his other wrist and showed it next to his existing Hublot timepiece. Photography by Johnny Nuñez
