MIAMI magazine welcomed over 1,000 guests into the iconic Fillmore Miami Beach to kick off swim week with its annual SPLASHION soiree. The night’s highlights included a special performance by Norwegian duo Nico & Vinz, a full swimwear runway show featuring the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders and activities around every corner. The event drew fashion designers, stylists, media, bloggers and influential community leaders.
The event kick off with a special VVIP Meet & Greet pre-event cocktail reception with Nico & Vinz, designers and sponsors. The guests enjoyed specialty cocktails crafted with elit by Stolichnaya, complementary bites and live mixing by DJ Eyal. VVIP guests were escorted on a backstage tour through the Fillmore lead by the characters of the Adrienne Arsht Center’s H2Ombre.
The main attraction for the night began when the house lights dimmed and came up to Nico & Vinz on stage with their 5 member band for performance of their new hit song, “Am I Wrong” which is among the top 3 on the billboard charts.
The performance led directly into the runway show which featured looks from Kareena’s, Kriado, La Martina, My Bestfriend’s Closet and Vizcaya Swimwear. Bringing their personalities to the runway were the Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders, styled by Dry de Luxe and Beauty Schools of America, who modeled the lines and brought cheers from the crowd. After the finale walk ended, Nico & Vinz returned to the stage for one last surprise performance to complete the show.
Attendees found more than enough to entertain them before and after the performance. VIP ticket holders will enjoed bites from South Florida’s culinary best like Sienna Tavern Miami, Florida Cookery, Dylan’s Candy Bar, and “O” Pops by Angie. VIP sponsored bars included sips from Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Stoli the Original, Red Bull and Onli Sparkling Beverages. Additionally, all guests interacted with custom activations by partners like South & Vista BMW, Cayman Island Department of Tourism (giveaways), Adrienne Arsht Center’s H2Ombre (special performance), Dry de Luxe (Style and Braid Bar), NAILREPUBLIC (mini manicure bar), and Plum Flower Creations (jewelry pop-up shop), Erin Una Chainani (digital sketch artist) and iPic Photobooth while enjoying the sounds of DJ Supersede, the official Miami Dolphin DJ.
