Verizon #4G4HungerMiami Finale Event
To celebrate the success of the MODERN LUXURY and Verizon Wireless winter 4G4Hunger campaign, Verizon and MIAMI magazine hosted a finale party at Haven South Beach where the winner of the $4G was announced. With the focus on Motorola and Verizon’s 4G LTE service, partygoer’s photos were snapped and then uploaded to their social media channels, all made possible by PictureU. Guests were also urged to use their own devices to join the Twitter conversation by using hash-tag #4G4HungerMiami. HaVen's impressive 360-degree projections screens showcased interactive Verizon content as well as images and outtakes from the 4G4Hunger video and photo shoot. The video walls also captured all tweets with the hash-tag generated that evening, creating excitement around the campaign.
The winner of #4G4HungerMiami was Giovanny Gutierrez of Chat Chow TV who won on behalf of Common Threads. The three runner-ups were Todd Erickson of HaVen South Beach (Share Our Strength), Giorgio Rapicavoli of Eating House Miami (Slow Food Miami) and Adrianne Calvo of Chef Adrianne's Vineyard Restaurant & Wine Bar (The Hunger Project).
Beck's Sapphire Beer and Finlandia Vodka cocktails with Verizon and Motorola names, such as the Motorola Splash and the Verizon Speed, were a favorite of the evening along with special bites prepared by the four program participants. DJ Madlinx, one of Miami's hottest DJ's, not only provided music for the evening but also served as emcee announcing the lucky guests who were winners of fun Verizon swag. The 4G4Hunger culinary personalities also donated items for a raffle that raised money for the three runner-up charities.
