Maybe it’s their long legs or the happy aqua and orange shades of their pompons or those Nancy Sinatra boots, but the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders never fail to elicit a smile from football fans—even at a game as down to the wire as was the Fins recent tussle with the Baltimore Ravens (this year’s Super Bowl winners).

“It was a nice moment to see them come on and do their thing because that game was tense,” says Aimee Psilakis, one of the many spectators in attendance there that day. It may have also had to do with the rest of the entertainment, which included Gloria Gaynor and her backup dancers. Or maybe not.
“I think the girls just make the fans happier,” adds Psilakis. “The shouts and screams from the crowd when they came on were intense to say the least.”
