Shop, Shop

Summer is a time for discovery of the retail kind. Check out what’s on the shelves at these new boutiques.

Avant-garde styles await men at Apt606.

1. Peacock Central
Men with a taste for fearless style have a kindred spirit in Apt606 founder Dune Ivan, who curates his inventory with an eye to the avant-garde via brands like Acne Studios, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Christopher Kane. Think Justin Theroux. And be warned: Preppies need not apply. 161 NE 40th St., Miami, 305.573.3330

2. Northern Exposure
From an array of evening gowns to one-on-one shopping appointments, Elle Studio was created with a sophisticate’s dream walk-in closet in mind. Trending brands like For Love and Lemons, and Generation Love can be expected on the racks, and the attentive service alone is worth the drive north. 4142 N. 28th Terrace, Hollywood, 954.588.2032

3. This and That
With hostess gifts and trinkets as its specialty, Babalú oozes Miami style. While folks may be familiar with the bazaar’s 1111 Lincoln location, the shop’s new(ish) location at The Raleigh hotel is worth a look for Malin & Goetz beauty products, Bond No. 9 candles, scents from Maison Francis Kurkdjian and coffee-table books with naughty titles. 1775 Collins Ave., Miami Beach, 305.612.1160

4. Belle of the Bal
Years after establishing itself as South Beach’s no-nonsense boutique, The Webster recently debuted a Bal Harbour Shops location that continues the high-fashion fantasy. Set against a backdrop of tropical images, brands like Chanel, Balenciaga and Céline are sure to entice and delight a whole new set of fashionistas. Soon to come: A men’s section! 9700 Collins Ave., Bal Harbour, 305.868.6544

5. Global Appeal
Shopkeeper Yeliz Titiz travels the world to source the shelves at her Buena Vista outpost, The Bazaar Project. The end result is a mix that’s hard to resist. We’re talking Bobbies moccasins, Alexandre MS decorative pillows, Shiraleah clutch bags and Titiz’s very own jewelry line, Sura. 4308 NE Second Ave., Miami, 786.703.6153
