The Hawaii Fishing and Seafood Festival was created by the Pacific Islands Fisheries Group in 2005 and will take place this year at the Honolulu Fishing Village at Pier 38 on Sunday, October 13, 2013.
Since it started, the Honolulu Fish and Seafood Festival now attracts over 20,000 people each year and said to be one of the top 2 events to see in Honolulu. it's free of charge and offers a unique mix of vendors, music and entertainment, educational booths, demonstrations, fresh local food and various games and activities. There is something for everyone to enjoy!
This year's event brings together the best of Hawaii's fishing and seafood communities and is the culmination of weeklong activities in celebration of the State's official Hawaii Fishing and Seafood Week. The week includes the Sea-to-Me community colleges culinary program fundraiser, a keiki art contest and Fishing For Hawaii's Hungry -a unique fishing tournament where fishermen donates their catch to help feed Hawaii's underprivileged.
