Danielle Andrews & Andrey Mindirgasov

When choosing a color scheme for their event, newlyweds Danielle Andrews and Andrey Mindirgasov took inspiration from Rancho Valencia’s elaborate Spanish tiles, wall colors and rustic dark woods.

After 10 years together, the couple said “I do” to a lifetime of happiness in Rancho Santa Fe, celebrating with friends and family who flew in from around the world.

On the tables, floral centerpieces alternated with wrought iron candle stands on wood runners to accentuate the celebration’s rustic flair. Pale-pink wraps were provided to keep guests warm into the evening.

Florals by Isari Flower Studio boasted spring blooms such as soft pink amaryllises, yellow ruffled tulips, coral peonies, soft poppies and, of course, Rancho Valencia’s signature flower—bougainvilleas.

THE COUPLE
Freshmen year at UC Berkeley, a sorority sister of Danielle Andrews set her up on a blind date with a high school friend, Andrey Mindirgasov. The first outing was a group dinner—where everyone at the table knew about the setup—but now 10 years later, the pair has been inseparable since that fateful night. In December 2014 while on an evening stroll on the beach, Andrey got down on one knee against the distant Santa Monica Pier backdrop, glistening with Christmas lights.

THE PARTY
The inspiration was a romantic combination of garden party and Spanish-California elegance. “Our goal was that everything we chose be used only to accentuate and enhance the already beautiful venue,” says the new Mrs. Mindirgasov. Family was undoubtedly the true theme of the evening, as Andrey’s family traveled all the way from Moscow, and Danielle’s parents celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on the special occasion.

WHAT THEY LEARNED
“Take in every moment because your wedding day goes by so fast!” Danielle says. “Focus on each other that day and don’t worry about all the little details.”

THE HONEYMOON
Danielle and Andrey jetted off to Belize for two weeks, cozying up in a little hut on the beach in Ambergris Caye.
