Eddie Merlot’s the premier steakhouse offering exceptional prime-aged beef, fresh seafood, and an extensive collection of wines, brings holiday cheer to the Chicagoland area with a line-up of seasonal offerings. Guests can celebrate the holidays with a specialty dinner menu, and added lunch service, where diners are able to purchase the restaurant’s namesake cookbook Eddie Merlot’s: A Journey through Taste.

Hearty Holiday Specials
Beginning on Tuesday, November 26, guests to the restaurant group’s Burr Ridge, Lincolnshire, and Warrenville locations can indulge in hearty winter favorites from Eddie Merlot’s Holiday Features menus. The menu crafted by Executive Chef Anthony Dee features classic steakhouse fare including: the Farm-raised Elk Chop seasoned with Dijon mustard and accompanied by roasted and fried fennel topped with a mushroom cabernet sauce; an elegant Tournedos Forestière, bacon-wrapped filet medallions topped with mushroom shallot demi-glace; and the decadent Crème Brûlée French Toast with housemade caramel sauce and vanilla crème anglaise. Eddie Merlot’s Holiday Features dishes will be offered at all Chicagoland locations during regular dinner service from Tuesday, November 26 through Sunday, January 5.

Elegant Lunch Offerings
From Monday, December 2 through Friday, December 20, all Eddie Merlot’s Chicagoland locations will offer Holiday Lunch service from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Whether unwinding after a marathon retail session or celebrating with co-workers, guests can dine on a medley of starters including deconstructed Ahi Tuna Wontons, diced sashimi style and served with housemade wonton chips; sharable flatbreads like the Black and Blue, comprised of blackened steak tips, caramelized onions, and gorgonzola; and a line-up of fresh entrée salads including the Crab Louie with romaine, tomato, eggs, and lump crabmeat drizzled with a Louie dressing made from scratch. Larger appetites can choose from an array of sandwiches and entrees from the Peppadew Burger topped with a gorgonzola bacon crust, peppers and onion straws to the roasted Cedar Salmon dressed in a light barbecue glaze and garlic aioli, with flashed spinach.

As an added seasonal bonus, lunchtime guests will also have the opportunity to purchase the restaurant’s cookbook, Eddie Merlot’s: A Journey through Taste, discounted from its regular price of $29.95 to a special holiday price of $19.95. With over 240 pages of recipes from the party-menu-friendly Bleu Cheese Potato Chips to the indulgent Black Truffle and Lobster Risotto, the Eddie Merlot’s cookbook is the perfect gift for the budding gourmand.
