NS Launch Event

In celebration of the premiere issue of NS magazine October 2012, Modern Luxury’s newest Chicagoland publication hosted their invitation-only launch event at an exclusive Coldwell Banker Previews International residence in Winnetka. Guests were invited to join the affair, celebrate the reveal of the NS premiere issue and enjoy bites from local North Shore restaurants including Di Pescara, Lovell’s of Lake Forest, and Restaurant Michael. After viewing the luxury vehicles from Steve Foley Motors in front of the home, guests were greeted by gorgeous florals from Taylor & Company and the crowd enjoyed live music from Lake Forest Symphony in the grand salon. Entertaining Company provided delicious bites and attendees sipped Goose Island brews, Terrazas de Los Andes Altos wine, Grand Marnier cocktails and Moët & Chandon Imperial Brut throughout the evening.

NS Announces Editor-in-Chief, Elaine Doremus

Modern Luxury announced Elaine Doremus (formerly Slayton) as the Editor-in-Chief of its newest title, NS magazine. Doremus was most recently the Editorial Director of JWC Media's Hinsdale Living magazine, which she helped launch in November 2011. In her 6 years with JWC, she also worked as a Contributing Editor and an Associate Editor for Forest & Bluff and Sheridan Road magazines. Doremus has made the North Shore home for 17 years, currently lives in Lake Forest and will be dividing her time between the North Shore and downtown Chicago as the Editor-in-Chief of NS.
