This year’s Candlelight Concert was a fête befitting the silver anniversary of the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, with showstoppers like Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Tony and Emmy Award-winner Kristin Chenoweth and a surprise flash mob of singers providing the entertainment for some 450 arts supporters. The 3,000-seat Segerstrom Hall was transformed into an elegant ballroom, with terraces constructed for table seating overlooking the orchestra level and hundreds of votive candles twinkling overhead. It served as a dramatic backdrop to honor the people who helped make the center what it is today. The topper: The event—chaired by Dee Higby and co-chaired by Betty Huang and Elizabeth Segerstrom—netted almost $1.3 million for the center’s programs.
