The Hit List: Beauty Beat

Lisa Pilgrim treks from Newport to L.A. several times a week to polish up celebs like Alec Baldwin, Chris Evans and Chanel Iman. Then she packs up her blushes and brushes to lend her talents to cancer patients, offering tips on makeup through the nonprofit Look Good, Feel Better. (Kind of makes the name of her biz, Beauty with Soul,, all the more fitting.) And, starting this month, she’s expanding her services to anyone who wants look more beautiful. Yes, she’ll visit your home for a private lesson on makeup and color selection, to ensure you’re putting your best face forward. Here, she shares a few of her own beauty secrets.

1. Quick Retreat
Spa Gaucin at the St. Regis Monarch Beach is Pilgrim’s local go-to place to unwind, and her sure cure for stress relief is the 90-minute Coastal Aromatic Stone Massage. “I’ve had massages all over the world, and this is one of the best.” $280,

2. Eco Excellence
Pilgrim credits her perfect, porcelain-like complexion to her holistic approach to living—and to the 100-percent natural Tata Harper line of products. Among her must-haves: the Hydrating Floral Essence spray. “It’s perfect for my long haul flights.” $85, at Roots Beauty, Laguna Beach,

3. Natural Beauty
Pilgrim’s partial to natural, organic brands—even when it comes to makeup—and RMS Beauty ranks at the top of her list. In her kit, you’ll find the translucent “Un” Powder. “I use this on the T-zone to help control shine and to set makeup. It’s so pure and gentle, and it leaves skin silky smooth.” $34, at Roots Beauty, Laguna Beach,

4. Bronzed Babe
NARS is known for its award-winning line of cosmetics, and Pilgrim loves its Laguna Bronzer. “It creates warmth with a slight golden shimmer to bronze or contour.” $36, at Sephora, South Coast Plaza,

5. Sheer Brilliance
To add a little extra glow to cheeks and brows, Pilgrim dabs on a little Josie Maran Argan Illuminizer. “It conditions the skin and gives a radiant glow that lasts all day… For an additional highlight, try a light application down the center of the nose.” $28, at Sephora, South Coast Plaza,
