There’s nothing like a little retail therapy to keep spirits high, and here’s our top five list of new shops.

Provisions Market

1. Halston Heritage
Style mavens, rejoice! This fall, look for O.C.’s first Halston Heritage ( at Fashion Island. A fave among celebs like Hayden Panettiere and Eva Longoria, it will offer a timelessly elegant yet modern assortment of ready-to-wear dresses, separates, handbags and footwear.

2. Boss Hugo Boss
At South Coast Plaza, Hugo Boss is now carrying a women’s line (a first) at its new, opulent Boss Hugo Boss boutique, which boasts an interior inspired by noted Dutch contemporary painter Piet Mondrian, along with fixtures and furnishings imported from Germany.

3. Bulgari
Also at SCP, Bulgari ( is sporting a brand-new look showcased by a giant, handmade Murano Giogali glass chandelier and silk panels of iconic images, like Elizabeth Taylor wearing the retailer’s jewelry. And, of course, there’s plenty of new bling to browse, including a cocktail collection featuring a combo of turquoise, mother-of-pearl, diamond, cabochon amethyst, peridot and rubellite. So luscious.

4. See Eyewear
Back at Fashion Island, See Eyewear opened earlier this summer. It’s where eyewear aficionados like Hugh Jackman and Tom Brady go for frames and lenses crafted by premier artisans.

5. Provisions Market
Hungry after all that shopping? Then head to Old Towne Orange, where the guys from Haven Collective (that would be Wil Dee, Greg Daniels and Ace Patel) have been busy at work launching their latest tasty concept—Provisions Market. It’s a bottle shop (plenty of wines, 200 craft brews on the shelves and 30 on tap) and a gourmet market (60-plus cheeses, a deli, chocolates, fresh breads and baked goodies from the likes of Sidecar Doughnuts and Blackmarket Bakery). The fellas still plan to add a java bar that will pour Portola Coffee.
