Sometimes nothing sooths the soul like a delicious meal, especially if it’s one of these delectable dishes from a few of our favorite dining destinations.
1. Pinot Provence
Restaurant vet Alfonso Ramirez heads the kitchen at this French-inspired Costa Mesa mainstay. Bring your friends to delight in a cassoulet supper—Ramirez has traditional and modern spins on the classic Southern French comfort casserole, like Australian lamb and pork cheek. This Il Fornaio restaurant brings the regional cuisine of Veneto to Newport, thanks to chef Moises Mendoza Islas. 3. The Crow Bar and Kitchen
This gastropub offers delicious soul food from Executive Chef Brandon Corby, including skillet mac and cheese with a seven-cheese blend covered in a tasso and herb crumble. 4. Juliette Kitchen + Bar
Once home to Pascal Olhats’ Tradition restaurant, this comfy-cozy dining spot offers innovative fare and a great wine selection—it’s connected to a merchant of the grape, after all. With its skilled proprietors, tasty fare and sophisticated look, this CdM spot is living up to its name. It’s got a dance floor that makes for good people-watching, but we suggest dropping by for Executive Chef Ryan Robertson’s burger and the loaded salad—or whatever else suits your fancy.
