Baja Bound!
THE PARTY The Mingei International Museum was all about Mexico when it hosted an evening devoted to the culture, cuisine and art of Baja California. Guests sipped wine from Guadalupe Valley and feasted on regional fare while listening to the Orchestra of Baja California. THE STAR Miguel Ángel Guerrero Yagües, who famously got his start with a cult-followed taco stand, was the center of attention. The handsome chef is a pioneer of the Baja-Med culinary movement that has garnered international acclaim. His eateries are foodie destinations in TJ, visited by the likes of famed chef Rick Bayless, who has said the city has the “most interesting cuisine in North America.” Photography by Tim Hardy
