Fostering Hope
THE PARTY Let’s hear it for the boys of Peers Network, who put on the glitz at their fourth annual Black Tie Gala, held at the cliff-hugging Lerach estate in La Jolla Farms. The formal affair, thrown by the group of S.D. entrepreneurs, supported Just in Time for Foster Youth, a nonprofit assisting emancipated foster youth. THE SCENE Nearly 400 gathered at the private estate, where a club-like lounge of silver and red décor set a glittering party vibe. VIPs peeled off to tour the homeowner’s private collection of Oceania, pre-Columbian and African art. Soulful beats came courtesy of Rebecca Jade and saxophonist Jonny Tarr, who closed down the night in a musical collab with local DJ Shine. THE HIGHLIGHTS Silent and live auction items reached luxurious heights, from private villas in Europe to VIP dining experiences. The affair took in more than $175,000 that will provide transitioning foster youth with emergency support and essential resources. Talk about man power! Photography by Bekah Peace
