SFMOMA celebrated the opening exhibits with its member preview receptions for both Jasper Johns: Seeing with the Mind's Eye, and Jay DeFeo: A Retrospective on Oct 23. Guests enjoyed the opportunity to explore both artist's work, while mingling and sipping on cocktails. The Jasper Johns exhibit surveys his 60-year career and offers an overview of his achievements for the first time in 35 years in the Bay Area. The Jay DeFeo exhibit shows 130 of her works, including her visionary masterpiece, The Rose.
