Al Pacino's Film to Premiere in the Castro

Wilde Salomé, the new movie on Oscar Wilde, debuts March 21 at the Castro Theatre.

Al Pacino’s new film, Wilde Salomé, makes its U.S. premiere next Wednesday at the Castro Theatre. Using the context of Oscar Wilde's play Salomé, the film examines the author best known for the comedy The Importance of Being Earnest. Playwright Tony Kushner (Angels in America) is scheduled to join Pacino and other cast members at the premiere of the film, and the mayor’s office will also proclaim that day “Oscar Wilde Day.” The premiere benefits the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual Transgender Historical Society and is sponsored by Banana Republic and Wells Fargo.
