Baby and the Luvies Rocks Haight Street

From the department of shameless self-promotion: Come see our Director of Photography's band play on Sunday.
Who's up for a little music this weekend? San Francisco's own Director of Photography, Ilana Diamond, is an amazing member of our art team. But, because we are people of many talents, she's also the lead singer of a soul band, Baby and the Luvies. Think Sharon Jones, Fitz and the Tantrums, or the Alabama Shakes. But local!
Intrigued? Well, you can see them perform for free this Sunday at 12:45 pm at the Haight Street Fair. They won a months long Battle of the Band hosted by the Milk Bar to earn the right to play the main stage. Here's why you should think about going:
They're Big: Ten members. That's two and a half times better than The Beatles.
They're Original: They write all their own songs.
They're Groovy: The five-piece horn section melts brains. People dance. Non-dancers dance.
They're Online: Check out their EP here.
Baby and the Luvies plays the Haight Street Fair on Sunday, June 9th at 12:45. Find out more.
