Round Three: A battle between the city's temple to organic eating and the humble downtown diner.
Who has the best brunch in the city? Our first ever Brunch Bracket pits sixteen of the city's most popular brunch spots in a single elimination, fight-to-the-death tournament. Our food editor Rebecca Flint Marx seeded the contenders, but it's your votes that decide who wins. Every weekday, you'll have a chance to vote on the day's matchup until we decide our ultimate winner. Yesterday number five seed El Techo de Lolinda upset number four seed Presidio Social Club.
Winner: Nopa 73%. Runner-Up: Dottie's True Blue Cafe 27%.

Signature Dish: Custard French Toast with rosemary, candied citrus, and housemade butter
Vibe: Warm and inviting, but the décor is fifty shades of brown—bright colors are banned
Representative Patron: The morally conscious foodie who likes their vegetables local and their beef grass-fed
Weakness: It's just a little too San Francisco—sometimes you don't want to eat somewhere that self-identifies as a "gathering place" rather than a restaurant

Vibe: Fifties diner with chalkboard specials and no-nonsense waitresses who don't have the word hospitality in their vocabulary
Representative Patron: The working-class man on his day off who has never considered taking a picture of his food before eating it
Weakness: Is it a restaurant or a cafeteria?
