SF Star Party & Telescope Night
What: With the astral views you'll find within the Randall Museum, this Star Party is sure to be stellar. Summer Zumba & 5K Run

Cost: FREE
Why: Because you know you've been secretly wanting to try Zumba.

Connoisseurs' Marketplace
What: This may be the summer festival to end all the other festivals. Dive into this celebration of visual, performing, and culinary arts, where you'll find 250 of California's top artists, two days of live music, chefs' demos, a feast of food and drink, artisan specialty food purveyors, a custom car show, home and garden exhibits, health and wellness displays, an organic and green products showcase, and tons of activities for kids.
Where: Santa Cruz Avenue, between El Camino Real and Johnson Street, Menlo Park, CA
When: July 19-20, 10am-6pm
Cost: FREE
Why: Just glancing at the festival's food and drink list is enough to make you drool.

Berkeley Kite Festival
What: As Mary Poppins once said, let's go fly a kite! This extravaganza features kite-flying competitions from West Coast champions, arts and crafts, make-your-own-kite tents, food, live music, and expert sport kite demonstrations (ever heard of kite ballet?!).
Where: Cesar E. Chavez Park at the Berkeley Marina
When: Saturday and Sunday, July 26-27, 10am-5pm
Cost: FREE
Why: Finally—an event that embraces our windy Bay Area weather.

Great American Blues & Barbeque Festival in San Rafael
What: This festival will have performances by local and national blues artists, like Rt. Honorable Austin de Lone Little Big Band, featuring Eric McCann, Paul Revelli, Jimmy Dillon, Keith Crossan, and Austin de Lone. Other blues highlights include Nick Gravenites, Tommy Castro, and Ron Thompson. Keeping in line with the Americana theme, over ten BBQ vendors will all compete for the "King of the Que Awards." Sip some local brews, wines, and other beverages and enjoy this blues tribute.
